Under the slogan “Two Generations - One Santa Claus”, Ruhama Foundation organized an event dedicated to elderly people from Bihor County. Hence, several elderly people have gathered on the December 18th 2007 at Atrium Hotel to award prizes to the ones who contributed significantly to the county development. Five senior citizens received honorific diplomas "Seniors of Bihor County" for their contribution to the county development: Mr. Traian Curta (from Pietroasa) – former miner who discovered the Bears’ Cave; Mr. Ioan Roxin (from Ciumeghiu) – veteran, who participated in the battles for Oradea City’s liberation, obtaining important decorations; Mr. Danielisz Endre (from Salonta) – he activated in education, former head of “Arany Janos” Museum, writer of 25 volumes dwelling on local history and the life and writings of the Hungarian poet Arany Janos; Mr. Dukret Geza (from Oradea) – who established civil associations for local history with 26 researchers, wrote several books and edited the “Partium” Collection (47 volumes), organized 13 youth camps to protect monuments; Dr. Nicolae Corneliu Lazar (from Batar) – generalist doctor of exceptional professionalism, serving community day and night.

The participants enjoyed other surprises as well. They listened carols sang by children from the Day Care Centre of Rontau, social service of Sanmartin Townhall, initiated in partnership with Ruhama Foundation. At the end, both elderly and children left the hotel loaded with gifts received from Ruhama’s Santa Claus. The funding for this event was ensured by the Bihor County Council through the Social Community Department Bihor.
