A delegation from Ruhama Foundation, made of 10 people, have participated along 3 days in an exchange visit in Austria, within the project "Services for people with disabilities. Participation in European networks" financed through Phare Program 2004.
In the period 15-17 August 2007, the delegation of Ruhama Foundation and the similar nongovernmental organization Chance B from Gleisdorf, Austria, have met for know-how exchange. "As result of the membership of Ruhama Foundation in the European Association of Service Providers for People with Disabilities (EASPD), our organization established contacts with other organizations across Europe which provide similar services. Chance B has presented us the services provided and the partnership with the local authorities. We have seen many aspects that could be implemented in Romania as well. The local administration could sustain financially our programs as Austrians are doing with success. Everything depends on the Local Council", says Ruhama team. The target group of the Chance B organization is people with disabilities. The service provided by them are recovery and care for people with psychiatric disabilities within a day care centre and a ambulatory service. Another service is job mediation for people with disabilities.
