May 25^th 2007 - At the Roma Education Center in Oradea, Ruhama Foundation together with the Teachers' Center Bihor organized a training session with the school teachers from pre-universitary education. The training is entitled "School and Community".

Thus, over 20 school teachers from several schools of Bihor (Sacueni, Ineu, Diosig, Curtuiseni, Bogei) and specialists from Teachers' Center Bihor attended the first training course addressed to teachers regarding Roma education issues. The aim of the course is to train the teachers who work with children from disadvantaged groups, especially Roma children and to encourage them to involve the community in the educational process and personal development of the child. At the end of the training, the teachers participated to interactive discussions regarding the creation and development of an inclusive educational environment in schools, the improvement of the communication and relationships between teachers and Roma parents, elements of culture, values, customs of the Roma community in order to adjust school with the realities of the community's socio-economical life.
