Starting with September 2008, until now, the Citizen Advice Bureau Oradea has settled the practice of organizing citizen meetings in the districts of Oradea City. The purpose of the citizen meetings is to identify, collect and put in the agenda of the local decision-making institutions the problems faced by citizens. In this period, the Citizen Advice Bureau have organized and participated to 10 citizen meetings, as a partner of the Oradea City Hall. The citizen meetings, hosted both by the Elderly Social Centres and various educational institutions, have attempted to cover the territory of the entire city, addressing one by one the districts Nufarul, Rogerius, Iosia, Velenta and Dealul Viilor. The increased number of participants, some 400 people, reflects the interest of the citizens towards the city’s issues, related to street traffic, parking, infrastructure, sewerage, cleaning, sanitation and green areas, owners’ associations, public order, electric network, street dogs and pets, facilities to elderly.
